I am a computational geodynamicist. My research interests lie in the development and the use of computational tools to study the multi-physical and thermo-chemico-mechanical processes that occur in different geodynamic systems.
A first aspect of my research concerns the investigation of the deep subduction dynamics and its impact on overriding plate deformation. I have notably developed a novel method to study the coupled lithosphere/asthenosphere dynamics in subduction zones.
I am also interested in understanding the coupled fluids/mantle dynamics (i.e. two-phase flow) both at subduction zones and at mid-ocean ridges.
Currently, my project focuses in the assessment of the dynamical evolution of the Lesser Antilles subduction zone during the Cenozoic and its impact on the Caribbean Plate topography.
